Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. Her career began acting during the 80s. She became famous for the film Tezaab starring the veteran actor Anil Kooor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir on Dil. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance at an early age. As a young woman when she began to act, she had a difficult time as a majority of her movies were unsuccessful. In the end, she was one of the top actresses from Indian films. Following her wedding, she took a short break from her acting career until she returned. Recently, she had in a crucial part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit was nominated 15 times in the Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of them. Padma Shri - the fourth most highly regarded civilian award in India awarded to Dixit. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
